Top Rope Rigging Course
Highlights
Top rope rigging will give you the skills and knowledge to safely set up top ropes enabling you to climb outdoors using a safe top rope system. If you have climbed indoors then you are using the same sort of system.
This 2 day course is aimed at those who have done some climbing and want to gain a bit of independence but don't want the challenge of lead climbing just yet. Our climbing instructors have years of experience in teaching this type of course and the pace will be determined by you.
The aim is that after 2 days you should have the confidence, skills and capability to set up top rope systems that you know will be safe for you to climb on. At the end of the course we will give you clear feedback on your progress and guidance on your next steps.
If you have some previous climbing experience we can run this as a private 1 day course on demand. However we will let you know how we feel you are doing at the end of the day. Our advice might be to do the 2nd day!

Location
All our climbing courses are based around the Eastern Edges in the Derbyshire Peak District. This means we are close to crags such as Stanage Edge, Burbage North or Millstone.

📋 Other - You can hire climbing shoes at £5 a pair for the day

Please note that we can run this Top Rope Rigging Course most times throughout the year. So if this is for you, then all you need to do is get in touch with your preferred dates and we will try to match those with available staff . We require a minimum of 2 people for the open course to run.

Cancellations
Custom Policy
All cancellation requests must be sent via writing, we’ll try to resell the space so you can get a 75% refund. If not, 50% of the fee will be refunded before 30 days or 75% for group bookings. If you cancel within 30days, & we’re unable to sell your space, there will be no refund available.
